SWN Clinic Directory
Find a Schwannomatosis Clinic
This is a working directory — not a certification and not a final list.
Every clinic here was assessed independently by the Order of the SWNs Foundation. We look at three things:
- Published research articles authored by or about the program
- How the clinic describes its own schwannomatosis work in public-facing materials
- What patients report from direct experience with that clinic
This directory is a work in progress. Profiles are added and updated as we research each clinic. If you have experience to share or know of a clinic we missed, tell us.

SWN Clinics
Clinics in this section either have documented published research on schwannomatosis or explicitly list schwannomatosis as a condition they treat. Each card shows which basis applies. If you have non-NF2 schwannomatosis, look for SWN Research Active cards first — those have the deepest expertise.

Before You Call
What to Ask
Establish SWN-specific experience
- Do you see patients with schwannomatosis specifically — not just NF2?
- Have you treated patients with SWN-NEC (gene-negative schwannomatosis)?
- How many SWN patients are currently in your practice?
Understand access to care
- Do you offer telemedicine for out-of-state patients?
- What does the first appointment include — imaging, genetics consult, pain evaluation?
- Do I need a referral, or can I self-refer?
Ask about trials and research
- Are there any active SWN clinical trials I might qualify for?
- Is your center part of a national NF clinical trials network?
- Do you have a multidisciplinary team including pain management and genetics?
Red flags — when to go elsewhere
- If they say “schwannomatosis is the same as NF2” — it is not.
- If no one on the team has seen your subtype before.
- If they can’t discuss the 2022 criteria or recent trial options.
