Case Reports

Documented schwannomatosis cases from around the world — clinical case reports, international presentations, and unusual presentations that expand what we know.

This section is being built. We are beginning to document SWN cases from international sources — including cases published in languages other than English — to ensure that the global breadth of schwannomatosis presentations is visible and searchable. Case reports are a distinct evidence tier from controlled studies; they are labeled clearly.

If you are aware of a published case report, a conference presentation, or a clinical description of a schwannomatosis patient — in any language — we want it in this record. Send the citation or link to info@theorderoftheswns.org.

If you are a clinician who has documented an unusual or instructive SWN presentation and would like to discuss contributing, please reach out directly. We are interested in cases that expand the clinical picture of this condition — particularly atypical presentations, delayed diagnoses, and gene-negative patients.

Note on terminology. Case reports in this section may use historical or regional naming conventions (neurofibromatosis, bilateral acoustic, etc.). We document the original terms and apply current 2022 consensus terminology in brackets where helpful. See the Terminology page for the full correction standard.
